The goal of “safe pedestrian crossings” is mainly to increase the safety of the most vulnerable participants of road traffic – the pedestrians.
To see and be seen is a vital premise of road traffic safety. It applies to drivers of vehicles as well as to pedestrians. Compared to drivers’ position, however, pedestrians’ position on road infrastructure is incomparable. For pedestrians, “to be seen” is a matter of life. For drivers, to see a pedestrian in time means to prevent an accident through adjusting the driving or stopping.
The way of protection does not lie in making the drivers stop their vehicle, as in by using light signalling devices (mainly the S1a signal – the signal with the “Stop!” red light), but rather in positive motivation. Safe crossings try to timely alert the driver of an incoming vehicle to an imminent “vehicle vs. pedestrian” collision, thereby influencing their behaviour.
The system lies in using embedded two-way LED signalling devices placed optimally at the centre of the horizontal V7 ZEBRA road marking. This way, we achieve effective highlighting of the crossing’s location in the entire width of the road, especially from the viewpoint of drivers of incoming vehicles. This modification can be used for a two-lane communication as well as for multilane communication.
Using the “safe crossings” system is convenient in locations where good overview of the crossing is not guaranteed, for example because of an obstacle on the communication (inappropriately parked vehicle). Furthermore, it is a significant increase of pedestrians’ safety on multilane communications, where collision situations often occur because of drivers’ inattention (one driver is giving the right of way to a pedestrian while another driver, driving in the next lane in the same direction, continues in their way).

Мы о деньгах не говорили. Мы говорили о технологиях. Новосибирские не заинтересовались до такой степени, чтобы речь зашла об обсуждении цены. Я и не стал лишние вопросы задавать производителям.
ГАИшникам отправлял такое письмо, привожу текст, так как в нём фактически находится краткое ТЗ на систему безопасности для пешеходов, которое я перевёл с сайта производителя:
"Добрый день!
На основании изложенного в подпунктах а), д), е), ж) пункта 11, пункта 12 документа "ПОЛОЖЕНИЕ О ГОСУДАРСТВЕННОЙ ИНСПЕКЦИИ БЕЗОПАСНОСТИ ДОРОЖНОГО ДВИЖЕНИЯ МИНИСТЕРСТВА ВНУТРЕННИХ ДЕЛ РОССИЙСКОЙ ФЕДЕРАЦИИ", прошу рассмотреть возможность использования, для обеспечения безопасности пешеходов на территории Советского района, Академгородка, предложенного технического решения на сайте http://www.bezpecneprechody.cz/?zlang=en , а именно: "An Effective Method of Protecting Pedestrians on Pedestrian Crossings (Эффективный способ защиты пешеходов на пешеходных переходах)" состоящий из следующих мероприятий: • Дополнительное освещение пешеходных переходов с использованием светильников с асимметричными излучающими характеристиками и белым цветом света (отличается от окружающего освещения улиц). • Обнаружение наличия пешеходов (динамическое определение) на пешеходных переходах и в непосредственной близости от пешеходной зоны, где пешеход может принять решение о переходе проезжей части (зоны обнаружения).
Указание на наличие пешеходов на пересечении зоны обнаружения с помощью: • встроенных в дорожное покрытие, цветных светодиодных (с динамическим переключением цвета) сигнализаторов; • мигания светодиодов в форме фигуры пешехода, которое происходит в противофазе свету освещенных и размещённых НАД проезжей частью дорожных знаков «Пешеходный переход» (на высоте 6 м над дорожным полотном), и свету освещённых дорожных знаков "Пешиходный переход" установленных у края дороги (~ 3 м над дорожным полотном) и прочим мероприятиям, изложенным на сайте.
В приложенном файле -- описание технологии на английском языке. " Ответы где-то есть бумажные. Но это уже не интересно.
Вобщем немного соврал, как оказывается. О цене спросил, но в ответе не говорили о ней:
